Tieline has also taken SIP development to a new level with support in new firmware for up to 6 simultaneous SIP connections in Genie Distribution and Merlin PLUS audio codecs.

Support for up to 4 VLANs has been added to the Genie and Merlin range of codecs. This means broadcasters can configure IP streaming over 2 physical Ethernet interfaces as well as up to 4 virtual LAN interfaces.

Support for sessionless IP dialing allows the Genie and Merlin range of codecs to interface with IP networks using this connection method.

The new firmware release is available for download for existing customers.

New user manuals supporting this release are also available online.
