MP&A Releases Redesigned Harris SX-Series AM Transmitters

New design features LCD display May 23, 2016

BATON ROUGE, La.—Michael Patton & Associates have announced that it will now ship its redesigned Harris SX-series AM transmitters, now featuring an LCD color display.

The retrofit design addressed the issues of the previous model, which included the display only showing a two-digit code for each channel/reading. The new display lists the channel name in text as well as the normal reading. The display also lists the overloads as well. Jumpers are also available to select the type of transmitter (1, 2.5 or 5 kW) and will display proper normal values for the transmitter its installed in.

The new display mounts onto the mounting studs of old the unit and plugs into the previous’ ribbon cable. Users can still use the old keyboard, or MP&A can supply a new one with the new display.

Units of the redesigned Harris SX-series are now available for shipping.
