NEW YORK � Spencer Brown and David Landau, former CEOs of Dial Global/Westwood One, in partnership with venture capitalist Michael Rolnick, have announced the formation of DGital Media, an audio engagement company that partners with media brands to create, distribute and monetize audio programs. DGital is partnering with Revere Digital for its first creation, Re/code Radio Network.
A website focused on tech news, reviews and analysis, Re/code was founded by journalists Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher. The Re/code Radio Network will feature a number of programs, beginning with �Re/code Decode with Kara Swisher,� scheduled to go live in June. The Re/code Radio network will be available through recode.net, iTunes and other distribution partners.
Rolnick will serve as DGital�s chairman. Chris Corcoran, former executive vice president of content for Dial Global/Westwood One, is joining DGital as chief content officer; as is Grace Carrick, former vice president of sales at Dial Global/Westwood One, as executive vice president of sales and strategy.
�We look forward to working with leading branded content partners to create digital audio programming that will complement a brand�s other content products be they print, web or video,� said Rolnick.
DGital is headquartered in New York, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
