Sep 13, 2012 - Newstar Electronics has introduced a new standalone AM/FM/DRM receiver called the DR111. Aside from the usual 87.5 to 108MHz FM range, it also covers 150 to 288kHz, 522 to 1720kHz, and 2.3 to 27MHz for both AM and DRM reception. Among its other features are DRM/Journaline news service, DRM scrolling text messages, FM band RDS, and 48 presets. It also has an alarm clock and sleep timer built in.

There is an interesting review of this radio's performance available on DRM news. Its performance was evaluated using off-air reception of Radio New Zealand International and KTWR Guam.
