RAB Names Farber as President and CEO

New York, New York - Apr 3, 2012 - Erica Farber has been named the new president and chief executive officer of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB). Farber, most recently executive vice president of the organization, will assume the RAB leadership post on April 16. Jeff Haley, who has led the organization for the last five years, is leaving to pursue a new opportunity.
Haley recruited Farber in late 2011 to establish a cohesive membership and services practice within the RAB. Farber's selection comes with the endorsement of the RAB board, which includes representation from a broad group of radio broadcasters across the US.
Farber was CEO of radio consulting and Internet service provider The Farber Connection, a firm she founded in 2010. During her 15-year tenure at =i>Radio & Records, Farber held various positions including COO, president, publisher and CEO. Prior to that Farber rose through the ranks at the Interep companies and served as executive vice president/radio development director.
In 2000, Farber received an American Broadcast Pioneer Award from the Broadcasters' Foundation. She currently serves as a director of Arbitron, director for the Broadcasters Foundation of America and the Library of American Broadcasting.
