NEW YORK�The 140th Audio Engineering Society International Convention in Paris is four months away, but the details about what attendees can expect are starting to roll out. Early announcements include a number of activities for students, as well as workshops on topics like 3D audio.
AES 140 will host student sessions at the Havane Amphitheater at the Palais des Congres. Some of the activities will include the Student Delegate Assemblies, the Student Recording Contest, and Critical Listening Sessions, there will also be a workshop on �European Audio Education: Possibilities & Challenges.� Other events will include the Education Fair and Student Design Competition.
A number of workshops and tutorials have also been announced on different topics. The conference will cover subjects like multichannel and 3D audio in reproduction environments, and binaural listening.
Paper proposals are also still being accepted, with the deadline set for Feb. 10.
AES 140 International Convention will take place from June 4-7 in Paris.
