Antoine Joins WBGO as CE

Newark, NJ - Apr 28, 2009 - David Antoine has taken the job as chief engineer of WBGO, Jazz 88.3 FM, in Newark, NJ. In this role he will be responsible for managing and maintaining broadcast systems, administrating computers, computer network systems and end-user computers. He will also act as chief operator for the radio station and keep the station in compliance with all FCC technical rules and regulations while maintaining studios and studio equipment, including both analog and digital audio consoles and other equipment. He reports to David Tallacksen, operations director for WBGO.
Prior to joining WBGO-FM, he worked eight years as the assistant chief engineer/IT specialist for WQXR-FM New York Times Radio.
Antoine is a native New Yorker with 28 years devoted to the New York radio market. He has worked in technical and managerial capacities with proven market leaders such as WNCN-FM, WBLS-FM/WLIB-AM, WOR-AM, WQHT-FM, WRKS-FM and WQXR-FM/WQEW-AM. In addition, he worked as a project engineer for DSI RF Systems, building transmitter rooms and servicing the broadcast community in the New York tri-state area.
Antoine attended the ATS Broadcast center in NYC for broadcast training and holds an FCC First Class license. He is a member of SBE chapter 15 and holds the SBE's CBRE and CBNT certifications.
