APRE Names Hogan Engineer of the Year

Public engineers to honor association's founding president in Las Vegas

ALEXANDRIA, Va.� Association of Public Radio Engineers President Dan Houg says Ralph Hogan is the 2016 APRE Engineering Achievement Award recipient.

�We are selecting Ralph because he is the founding president of APRE and has recently rolled off the board due to term limits,� Houg wrote in an email. �It was his direction for many years that developed APRE into the established organization it is.�

Hogan currently works as director of engineering for KJZZ(FM), KBAQ(FM) and Sun Sounds in Tempe, Ariz.�

In addition to his work with APRE, Hogan has served as president and treasurer of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and is also an SBE fellow.�

He will be honored at the association�s awards dinner, which will be held at Joe�s Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab at Caesar�s Forum Shops on Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m.
