CHARLOTTE — The Association of Public Radio Engineers is offering scholarships to attend its annual Public Radio Engineering Conference. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 25, APRE President Steve Johnston announced in an email this week.
The scholarship includes APRE Membership for one year, the PREC registration fee, and three nights at the conference hotel.
The scholarship is open to public radio station engineering or operations personnel who meet any of the following criteria:
a) New to the field
b) Have not attended PREC in the last five years
c) Other industry representatives as identified by the board of directors
The 2018 PREC will be held at the Tuscany Suites in Las Vegas on April 5–6, prior to the NAB Show. The conference offers targeted technical seminars, contact with broadcast equipment manufacturers and networking with public radio colleagues.
