MELBOURNE, Australia In an effort to upgrade legacy 50 kW transmitters across Australia, Broadcast Australia has announced that it has acquired four NX50 50 kW AM transmitters from Nautel and its in-country partner Sonifex Pty Ltd - Australia. Broadcast Australia intends to install additional upgrades to its 50 kW transmitters over time.

According to Nautel, the NX50 transmitters reduce the amount of input power needed for transmission and facility cooling. The first four will be deployed to metropolitan and regional sites in New South Wales and Victoria, replacing transmitters that have been around since the 1980s.

Broadcast Australia also recently took delivery of Nautel NX10 AM models and NV20lt FM transmitters.
