Broadcasters, Manufacturers Join Media Networking Alliance

BOTHELL, WASH.� The BBC, Swedish Radio (Sveriges Radio AB), Focusrite, Genelec, Riedel Audio & Acoustics and Shure Incorporated, are among the newest organizations to join the Media Networking Alliance.

�Shure is pleased to join MNA in support of the AES67 standard,� said Shure Director of Digital Audio Products Bob Abraham. �We believe a healthy A/V industry needs open standards and interoperability to meet customer expectations. AES67 is emerging as an appealing media networking solution because it promises some unique benefits we think customers will really appreciate.�

Existing members of the not-for-profit corporation include: ALC NetworX, Archwave Technologies, Attero Tech, Bosch Security Systems, Directout, Lawo, QSC, The Telos Alliance and Yamaha. Membership applications from several more AV manufacturers are also in the process of being accepted.

The organization�s inaugural membership meeting was held October 2014 at the AES Convention.
