Deezer Names New CEO

PARIS�Effective Feb. 1, 2015, Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht will take over as CEO for music streaming service Deezer. He will also serve on the company''s board of directors.
Albrecht comes from Millicom where he was president and CEO of the telecom and media group that offers digital services to over 50 million customers in Africa and Latin America. He also previously served as president and CEO of Modern Times Group.
The appointment comes at a time of rapid international expansion for the company and following its launch in the United States in September, which saw it target high-end audio enthusiasts with High Definition lossless sound and partnerships with manufacturers Sonos and Bose.
Deezer is currently available as a free download for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows devices or on the Web. In October 2014 Deezer acquired leading on-demand talk radio service Stitcher.
