NEW YORK � One week after announcing the launch of DGital Media, an audio engagement company who partners with media brands to create, distribute and monetize spoken word audio products, the company has announced its first acquisition, WYD Media Ad Sales.
WYD Media is a New York-based advertising sales company that specializes in spoken word audio; its current clients include brands and personalities such as Fox News Radio, Thom Hartmann, Michael Smerconish, Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller. WYD Media founder Ron Hartenbaum will join DGital as managing director, as will WYD�s John Murphy, who will serve as president.
DGital is also spreading across the country, as the company has acquired two new sales offices in Detroit and Los Angeles. Distribution capabilities, research, analytics and accounting are included as part of the acquisition. Steven Cohen, senior vice president of west coast sales, will head up the L.A. office.
