Brussels - Mar 28, 2014 - Digital broadcasting is starting to have an impact in Belgium.

RTBF.be is reporting that it is now providing a new radio-player that can be used to find and then listen to the streams of Belgian radio stations RTBF and RTL.

A DAB+ network for Belgium is coming, perhaps as early as 2015. According to Trends.be, once funding is in place, construction of the network will take about 14 months. RTBF (French) has been testing DAB+ since December of 2010; other public broadcasters VRT (Dutch) and BRF (German) have been transmitting it as well.
