Digital Radio Continues to Gain Across Norway

OSLO�Radio.no reports that 47% of listeners in Norway are using digital radio on a daily basis. This represents a 2% increase over last quarter.
According to Radio.no, �When DAB owners today are asked about what qualities they think are most important for DAB, the three most frequently mentioned are �sound quality'', �multi-channel'' and �better coverage.'' DAB is the largest platform for digital radio listening.�
1.67 million DAB radios receivers have been sold in Norway, and 45% of Norwegian households report having at least one DAB radio. 12% of households report having car DAB radio. Electronics stores are mainly selling digital radios, a consequence of the fact FM transmissions will be �sun-setted'' in Norway in just a few years.
