Apr 5, 2011 2:44 PM

Washington - Apr 5, 2011 - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will hold a practitioner webinar on April 6, 2011, at noon ET to provide details on the planned national EAS test. IPAWS Program Manager Manny Centeno will provide an update on preparations for the national test. The Federal Communications Commission recently issued the related third report and order, and although the test has not yet been scheduled, planning has begun.

Two previous tests were held in Alaska, and Bryan J. Fisher, chief of operations for the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, will join the webinar to share his experience.

This program is intended primarily for members of the emergency management community and interested broadcasters. The event is being streamed with Live Meeting. Access the event 30 minutes prior to the start at this link.

The webinar will be recorded and made available for later playback.
