French Government Officially Approves DAB+

Paris - Sep 1, 2013 - French Minister of Culture and Communication Aurelie Filippetti, with Minister of Productive Recovery Arnaud Montebourg, and Minister Delegate to the Minister of Productive Recovery Fleur Pellerin have all signed off on the decree of Aug. 16 that will allow the use of DAB+ as an option to T-DMB for the transmission of digital radio throughout France. This represents "a victory for the harmonization of digital radio in Europe" according to Radio-Numerique France.
