CLEVELAND, OHIO � The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 8,874,026 to Futuri Media for its Instant Alert and Listener Driven Radio technology.

The patent covers a �system for providing audience interaction with radio programming,� and it describes a broad range of methods related to Listener Driven programming, including Instant Alerts, where listeners can receive e-mail, SMS text, and tweets moments before their favorite songs play on the air.

This is also one of several U.S. and foreign patents and pending patent applications held by the company that describes and protects its unique interactive mobile and social apps. Futuri CEO Daniel Anstandig and Chief Technology Officer Brian Seeders are named as inventors on the patent.

Futuri is a developer of social and mobile audience engagement technology for broadcasters. Its LDR platforms enable listeners to become real-time collaborators in on-air programming, automatically adjusting content based on audience input.
