Harman Invests in Improving AKG Brand

NORTHRIDGE, CALIF.� Harman Professional says it has made a investment in marketing and customer service for AKG.

Additionally, professional microphone and headphone operations will be overseen by Bryan Bradley, general manager for the loudspeaker strategic business unit.

They will also appoint a general manager who will report to Bradley, as well as marketing and sales leads for Harman Microphones and Headphones in Northridge, Calif. The JBL and AKG divisions will be co-located and will combine their research and development budgets.

�Microphones with loudspeakers is a natural fit,� said Bradley.

Harman Professional President Blake Augsburger made the announcement and noted the success of the JBL loudspeaker business unit and the opportunity to provide microphone and headphone customers with the same depth of innovation, marketing leadership and care.
