More Automobile OEMs Add HD Radio Artist Experience

Columbia, MD - Aug 28, 2013 - The HD Radio Artist Experience feature adds a visual component to the digital AM and FM radio service. It gives broadcasters and the many automakers with large, full color display audio systems, the ability to show images of album covers, station logos and artists on radio screens. Now iBiquity Digital has announced that two additional automakers, Lexus and Toyota, are launching vehicles with the HD Radio Artist Experience feature.
The 2014 Lexus IS is now available at dealers with the new feature and multiple 2014 Toyota vehicles are soon to follow including, the Corolla, Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia and 4Runner. They join a growing number of other automakers with vehicles that are already available with Artist Experience including the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and multiple Volkswagen and BMW vehicles. More automakers are expected to launch Artist Experience in coming months.
33 automakers have now publicly announced plans to incorporate HD Radio Technology in 170+ models by year-end with more than 80 models featuring HD Radio receivers as standard equipment.
