NATE Holds First Regional Meeting

Focus was on key industry safety and health initiatives

WATERTOWN, S.D.�The National Association of Tower Erectors announced that it held its first meeting last Firday, Sept. 25, at the Kankakee Community College Banquet Center in Kankakee, Ill. The focus of the meeting was on key industry safety and health initiatives.

About 130 people attended the meeting, which featured guest speakers including Steve Wilder, president and COO of CITCA, LLC; Jim Tracy, CEO of Legacy Telecommunications, Inc.; Jocko Vermillion, vice president at Safety Controls Technology; and Bill Donovan of USDOL-OSHA, Region V.

�This was such a successful event because so many people came together and supported it; from the NATE Board of Directors, committee and subcommittee members, sponsors, guest speakers, and both current NATE members and non-members,� said Diane Mueller of Primus Electronics and NATE Member Services Committee member. �We hope to have more regional meetings in the future to continue to spread the word about NATE and safety, and create additional opportunities to network and share issues and ideas among others in our industry.�
