Netherlands DAB+ Network Brought Online

Amsterdam - Sep 1, 2013 - Beginning Sept. 1, 2013, 26 radio stations can be heard throughout the Netherlands via DAB+. Those stations include Dutch public broadcaster NPO stations Radio 1, Radio 2, 3FM, Radio 4, Radio 5, Radio 6 Soul and Jazz, FunX, 24Nieuws and Top 2000.

The commercial stations are Sky Radio, 538, Q-Music, Classic FM, Radio Maria, Slam FM, Radio Veronica, 100% NL, Skyradio Love Songs, Efteling Radio, Juize, Radio 10, Sublime FM, Sublime You, Q! Music non-stop, BNR, and Arrow Classic Rock.

Even with the turn-up of the new nationwide DAB+ mux, there are no plans to shut down the FM system at any time in the future, according to radio.nl.
