NWSA Seeks Nominations for Inaugural Board of Governors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. � The National Wireless Safety Alliance has announced that it is seeking nominations for available seats on its inaugural Board of Governors from qualified tower technicians. The NWSA seeks a broad cross-section of the industry as its representatives on the board, who will develop policy and oversee activities of committees that will serve under the Board of Governors.

The NWSA is a currently in development, non-profit assessment and certification organization with the goal to provide independent assessments of knowledge and skills and provide verifiable worker certification to enhance safety, reduce workplace risk, improve quality, encourage training and recognized skilled professionals.

Tower technicians who are interested in applying must meet the following criteria: completion of training at the competent climber/rescue level or higher; minimum four years of climbing experience; commitment to serve a two-year term; and provide demonstrated employer support in regards to their ability to participate as a Governor.
