Pizzi Joins NAB Science and Technology Department

Washington - Dec 13, 2010 - The National Association of Broadcasters has hired Skip Pizzi as director, digital strategies. Pizzi, who will join NAB on December 20, will report to Lynn Claudy, senior vice president of Science and Technology.
Most recently, Pizzi was a media technology consultant for U.S. and international broadcasters, government agencies, educational institutions, foundations and manufacturers. He has also worked in various roles at radio industry publications, including being a past editor of Radio magazine.
He began his technical career at NPR, and later contributed to numerous digital media efforts during more than a decade of work at Microsoft, as well as representing the company in domestic and international technical standards development organizations.
Pizzi has been an active broadcast technology trade journalist, editor and author since the early 1980s. The author of two books (Digital Radio Basics, an early text on digital radio broadcasting, and more recently co-author of Audio Over IP), he has also contributed to the NAB Engineering Handbook and other technical books.
