Polish Radio Receives Offers for DAB+ Retransmission

Warsaw - Oct 23, 2013 - Polish Radio has received three offers to rebroadcast its terrestrial signals around the country in the DAB+ format, according to an article in Telecompaper. The offers were provided by Emitel, Polish Broadcasting Networks, and a new company, Bcast.

The original tender by Polish Radio had three requirements:
� Encoding, muxing, and regionalization of radio programs and data
� Transmission of DAB+ signals in Katowice and throughout upper Silesia
� Transmission of DAB+ signals in Warsaw and environs

Emitel was the only company that with an offer to accomplish all three requirements; the other two companies' offers were only for requirements one and three.
