Australian Broadcasting Company Radio National signed with VidiGo to automatically switch cameras during radio productions with VidiGo Visual Radio. VidiGo fully automates camera switching based on measured audio levels.
Marketron has expanded its partnership with Saga Communications (SGA). Besides extending the existing partnership between Marketron and Saga, in which Marketron provides services for 99 radio stations in Saga's 23 markets, the new agreement calls for Marketron to provide additional services, including Insight reporting, Proof of Performance, and Network Connect.
Jampro Antennas was awarded a contract by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to supply a high-power FM antenna system to provide very specific directional coverage of the Vancouver, BC, DMA. Broadcasting from a tower atop 4,754' Mount Seymour, a Jampro model JAHD Arrowhead Dipole panel antenna will provide the CBC with the necessary pattern stability and axial control so as not to interfere with adjacent U.S. border stations.
Wheatstone consoles and routers are being sold in the United States:
� Lotus Communications (Tucson, AZ) purchased three audio drivers for an existing WheatNet-IP system through BSW.
� Beasley Broadcast (Las Vegas, NV) purchased six E-6 control surfaces, two SideBoard surfaces and 21 WheatNet-IP Blades.
� St. Cloud State University (Minnesota) purchased a Bridge TDM routing system with D-32 and D-8 television audio consoles through Alpha Video that will be used to connect a number of sports venues to the broadcast center via fiber optic links and remote I/O frames.
� WBUR-FM (Boston, MA) added another G-4 control surface to its Bridge TDM routing system for the popular "Here and Now" show it produces for NPR.
� Wittenberg University's WUSO-FM (Springfield, OH) purchased a WheatNet-IP system with two IP-12 control surfaces and six IP Blades along with several audio drivers, Navigator software and two M2 dual channel mic processors.
� WHUR-FM (Washington, DC) added a SideBoard surface and two WheatNet-IP Blades for use in a newsroom application.
� WGN-AM (Chicago, IL) added another IP Blade and two WheatNet-IP crosspoint controllers for an existing WheatNet-IP system.
Victorinox stores stream with Barix, Lincoln Financial Media San Diego taps Radiate Meda for traffic, and Radio Sibenik installs Studer....
