INDIANAPOLIS The Society of Broadcast Engineers will launch its new mentorship program this October.

But first, they need more experienced engineers to volunteer to serve as mentors, due to an overwhelming number of mentee applicants.

(That's good news for anyone concerned that the industry is graying!)

As of Aug. 31, the programs application deadline, more mentees had signed up than mentors to match with them had volunteered. Therefore, the SBE will extend the deadline for a few days.

If you are willing to step up as a mentor, the form is available here.

Not sure if your experience qualifies for mentor status? This should answer your questions.
