Second DAB+ Network Makes its Debut in Switzerland

Berne, Switzerland - Apr 16, 2014 - As of today, a new DAB+ multiplex on channel 10B is carrying 15 separate audio channels across all of Switzerland.

The tender for this second network was issued in 2007, and it took 7 years to bring it to fruition. The license to build the network was issued to Romandie SA Media on Feb. 12, 2013, and 22 sites have been equipped with the necessary transmission equipment. Nineteen of the 22 transmitters are now in service.

Romandie SA Media is carrying the following channels on the DAB+ mux: Vertical Radio; RadioFR music; Rh�ne FM , Radio Chablais , LFM , One FM , FM Red , Yes FM , Radio Fribourg, RJB , RTN , RFJ , GRRIF, TRE and SRF4 News.
