ST. LOUIS Internet radio and digital broadcast platform provider StationDigital Corporation has become a member of the ng Connect Program.

StationDigital will work closely with other members to create mobile applications for use within the market of connected devices.

A technology-driven initiative involving multiple industries, the ng Connect Program was founded by Alcatel-Lucent to encourage network, content, consumer electronics and application providers to work collaboratively to develop new service concepts. It encourages the development of end-to-end solutions that can be offered to network operators.

The goal of the ng Connect Program is to bring together innovators that span the digital value chain in order to build services for an enhanced user experience, said Nash Parker, director of market development, at Alcatel-Lucent.

StationDigital Corporation provides users with personalized streaming recommendations. The company also features a SD Rewards program which helps users earn virtual currency for listening to music and sharing content with friends on social media. Users can then make purchases with this virtual currency through discounts on music and merchandise as well as coupons for additional savings.
