Tower Climber Dies on Tower in SW Florida

Bonita Springs, FL - Dec 26, 2011 - A Southwest Florida man died De. 26, 2011, while working on a radio tower tower on the Lee and Collier County line, which is south of Ft. Myers. According to new reports, the climber, Nick Rouskey of Cape Coral, FL, was replacing a tower beacon when he became unresponsive.

Emergency crews reached the climber to find him dead. At that time the operation shifted from a rescue to a recovery. An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.

The tower is used by WFSX-FM and other some other stations.
