Westwood One News Names Reporting Team

NEW YORK� Westwood One has announced the new correspondents for its Westwood One News division.
CNN Correspondent Steve Kastenbaum will join Westwood One News as senior correspondent and New York bureau chief. Bob Costantini of NBC News Radio will become the network''s Washington correspondent. CNN broadcast journalist Jim Roope joins as the network''s West Coast correspondent based in Los Angeles. Alan Scaia will serve as the Midwest reporter based in Dallas.
�Westwood One News will launch with national coverage from some of the most experienced and honored news correspondents in our business,� said Bart Tessler, Westwood One''s executive vice president of news and talk. �They will be on the scene covering breaking news, filing for the network, and providing live two-ways with affiliates.�
Kastenbaum comes to Westwood One from CNN where, for the past year, he has worked as a producer, reporter and CNN Newsource correspondent out of the network''s New York bureau. Kastenbaum was a correspondent for CNN Radio for seven years after starting his career at all news radio station WINS in NY.
Costantini joins Westwood One from NBC News Radio. His career includes reporting for Fox News Channel, Tribune Television, and CNN Radio. He has covered the White House and Capitol Hill, Supreme Court and the political game.
Roope spent 13 years as the West Coast Correspondent for CNN Radio. Before joining CNN, Roope worked in Los Angeles at KABC, KFWB and KNX as a general assignment reporter, and as news director for K-NEWS and operations manager for KKGO/KGIL.
Scaia has worked for WBAP and KLIF radio in Dallas/Ft. Worth, WIBC in Indianapolis and KEX in Portland, Ore.
