New NAB Show emphasis covers the intersection of media, entertainment and technology

LAS VEGAS�Ahead of the 2017 NAB Show, the National Association of Broadcasters is pushing a new concept that they have dubbed �the M.E.T. Effect.

�An acronym for �media, entertainment and technology,� this concept emphasizes the intersection of these fields and its presence at the spring show in Las Vegas, the organizers are looking for speaking proposals that center on this theme.�

Some topics that will be covered include: ATSC 3.0, big data and analytics, broadcast facilities, connected media, cybersecurity, digital dashboard, drones, FCC technical regulatory issues, internet of things, leveraging social platforms, live streaming, music licensing, podcasting, programmatic media, radio technology, RF bootcamp, workflows for radio and television and more.

According to the NAB Show website, �This cultural phenomenon is fueled by internet connectivity and integrated systems, opening up limitless opportunities. Behavior and business have merged to redefine work flows and revenue streams. Corporate alliances are forming and development teams are working vigorously to fill consumer demand for more digital content and immersive experiences. The 2017 NAB Show is spotlighting the visionaries, technologists and craftsmen who are redesigning our business and bringing this phenomenon to life.

The call for all papers and speakerscloses Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).

Note that first time submissions require you to create an account on the website, but previous speakers should use existing user information. Also, it is permissable to submit more than one speaker or paper at a time.
