ARC-Cast radio software can be used as a standalone automation system or used with the ARC-8 console to create a live air and automation system. Set up several "hour clocks," assign them to hours in a week and the software pulls the appropriate audio files from a library to fill the time. The software is designed to be easy to use and to eliminate most on-air user error. There are no satellite interfaces with switchers and relay closures. It supports three sound cards for simultaneous play, cue, and automation outputs while also recording. It plays entirely from audio files on hard disk that are received from PCs, FTP sites, the Internet, cell phones, PDAs, e-mail and more.
