Play-out and production software
Designed for radio stations that have one to five studios, the software is used for all production-related tasks. The station defines their program schedule for each weekday. The template divides each hour of program to a segment that has various attributes: start and end time, name, type and selected music clock. For daily planning, playlists are created for each program containing all the elements needed: music tracks, sounds and commercials. A third-party system, such as music scheduler or traffic system takes care of the scheduling of commercials. A producer finishes production of one item, then places it in the playlist. After the program is published, the content used in it is archived or purged.
One enhancement to this software is that it offers an easier way to produce podcasting content. Users can burn podcasts straight to an audio or data CD using the Podcast Wizard and Podcast XLR8R. Users can also preschedule podcasts to be automatically created and transmitted. Automatically back up station content as well as restore Voice Tracs and entire logs. Titles now include station, date, hour and even position within the hour. If stations have to do re-takes on Voice Tracs, the software lets users undo and redo them, making it easier to create multiple takes.
