Adaptrum Launches New TV White Space Product

SAN JOSE, CALIF.�Adaptrum, Inc., a provider of TV white space technology, has launched its second generation TV white space product ACRS 2.0.
ACRS 2.0 is targeted for volume production and outdoor deployment and is certified with both Google and Iconectiv TVWS databases by the FCC.
It features clean out-of-band emission, enabling it to coexist interference-free with over-the-air TV broadcast and minimize potential interference between white space devices. Using a TDD OFDMA implementation, ACRS 2.0 achieves latency and rate-versus-range performance compared to other wireless broadband products. Its NLOS OFDMA technology combined with propagation characteristics in the UHF TV band allows reliable connectivity. Enclosed in a sealed and ruggedized aluminum case, ACRS 2.0 product is lightweight, simple to install, weatherproof and EMI free.
Adaptrum also announced a Starter Kit Program to help interested customers get up to speed with TV white space technology. Two configurations are available. They can be ordered directly on the ACRS 2.0 launch website.
The company began shipping ACRS 2.0 systems to through its preferred customer program since Q1 2014. To date, ACRS 2.0 radios have been deployed in 15 countries across four continents.
