New version adds wireless support, advanced filtering and Device Lock features

PORTLAND, Ore.A new version of Dante Controller is now available from Audinate: The company has announced the release of Dante Controller 3.10.

V.3.10 is said to better manage larger networks with more high channel-count devices while enabling Dante Controller to adjust to upcoming firmware changes.

Among the new features of the updated Dante Controller system is the ability to manage Dante networks from Wi-Fi connected laptops. The new system also comes with an Advanced Filter to refine the range of devices displayed, allowing for narrow or refined views when managing large Dante networks. Filter parameters include device and channel names, sample rate, latency setting and lock status.

Device Lock is another new feature supported by the updated Dante Controller and can be used with Dante-enabled equipment as well as end-user applications like Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Via. Device Lock allows users to remotely lock supporting Dante hardware and software devices using Dante Controller with a four-digit PIN. A devices configuration cannot be changed while it is locked. Device Lock requires the 3.10 firmware, though support is expected to be included in future releases of Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Via.
