BEAVERTON, Ore.�Audio Precision has unveiled its new Android audio test app. The latest version, which supports Android 4, 5 and 6, as well as Android N Developer Preview 5, allows for automated evaluations of new phones and tablets, including a Bluetooth audio test, without requiring a phone call.
The Android app is integrated with APx audio measurement software and analyzers. For testing mobile devices, it supports analog tests of TRRS jack microphone input and headphone output, while supporting A2DP downlink and HFP downlink and uplink testing for Bluetooth audio measurement.
Registered users of AP.com can receive a courtesy download of the new Android app. The app requires an APx500 series analyzer with a Bluetooth hardware option and is supported by APx500 audio measurement software, version 4.2 or later. Necessary Android applications, including APx project files, supporting audio waveform files, audio test app installer and a 50-page technote, are contained in the download.
