WEST CHESTER, Pa.� Belar Electronics�has announced a new software-driven feature of FMHD-1 modulation monitor that eliminates delay errors without relying on the routing of audio signals through external equipment.�
On the fringes of HD Radio reception, there is typically an eight-second delay between the HD main and analog FM programming. To solve the time delay between digital and analog signals in HD Radio fringe areas, Belar�s new Automatic Delay Correction algorithm maintains time alignment.�
Additionally, the new feature is compatible with Wheatstone's�ACI, the network-centric control protocol built into Wheatstone audio processors. FMHD-1 measures FM/HD time alignment and transmits closed-loop diversity delay corrections back to the Wheatstone on-air processor. It seamlessly switches back and forth between the two programs.
