RAYMOND, MaineDielectric will seek to draw NAB Show attendees focus to its innovations for RF filtering for radio and TV facilities. Specifically for FM broadcasters, Dielectric has added cross couplings to its filter design.
Dielectrics field-tunable, FM two-channel manifold combiner was introduced at the 2016 NAB Show. This year the design has been evolved with cross couplings to allow less frequency separation for combined channels.
The use of constant impedance FM combiners means twice as many filters and components and raise both initial and operational costs, said Keith Pelletier, vice president and general manager of Dielectric. Our new cross-couple designs tackle these problems with less complex architecture in shared FM facilities.
The newly designed filters will be shown, along with new TV filters, at Dielectrics booth C2613.
