Genelec Unveils 1236 SAM Monitoring System

NATICK, Mass.�Genelec had debuted its new 1236 Smart Active Monitoring Main Monitoring System with a 3U-high Remote Amplifier Module RAM-XL.

Based on Genelec�s 1036 model, the 1236 has a frequency response that extends from 17 Hz to 26 kHz and can deliver 130 dB SPL at 1 meter through digital signal processing and Class D amplifiers, which provides 2x1000 W, 800 W and 400 W short-term power into woofers, midrange and tweeter channels. The 1236 features two 18-inch midrange drivers and a 2-inch high compression tweeter mounted in a Directivity Controlled Waveguide enclosure.

SAM technology implements all crossovers, protection circuitry and driver calibrations of the RAM-XL into the digital domain. In addition, the 1236 features the latest version of the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager and Autocal.
