The iMix uses Orbans DSX Headphone Surround algorithm and the latest version of ITU-R BS.1770 loudness measurement system for an accurate and quick assessment of 5.1 surround audio including program quality, levels and loudness. Test tone locations are rendered with precise image integrity, including BLITS tones and SWOOP tests without artificial ambiance. No proprietary surround encoding is necessary for the monitor to operate.

Orban is now shipping the iMix 5.1 with standard AES I/O and its HD/SDI input option. Other options, including AES-67 input via Dante AoIP and balanced analog audio I/O, are soon expected to be available, as well as built-in webserver for remote control and logging.

The iMix 5.1 system will be displayed at Orbans booth (N3203) at the 2017 NAB Show.
