Pasternack Releases New Waveguide Detectors

IRVINE, Calif. � Pasternack has unveiled a new set of waveguide detectors that are able to perform in Ka, Q, U, V, E and W frequency bands.

These waveguide detectors are designed to be used for instrumentation, power detection, power monitoring, direct detection receivers, high frequency communications, radar, SATCOM, point-to-point radio, telecom, data links and R&D.

This release of waveguide detectors comes in six unique models that cover a frequency range of 26.5 to 110 GHz. Input ports sizes range from WR-28 to WR-10, while the video output ports utilize SMA female connectors. The detector circuits use high performance GaAs Schottky Barrier Beam lead diodes with low junction capacitance. With minimal sensitivity variation, the detectors give a flat frequency response across the entire waveguide band.

Each model of the waveguide detectors are zero biased, feature a steel construction and are thermally stable. Voltage sensitivity ranges from -600 to -300 mV/mW. Performance is guaranteed from zero to 50 degrees C.
