FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.�Digital audio manufacturer RME has announced its new audio production tool, the RME Fireface UFX+ Interface, which features Thunderbolt and USB 3 connectivity.
The Fireface UFX+ features analog, ADT, MADI, AES, SPDIF, USB 2, USB 3 and Thunderbolt technology as a standard, with a channel count of 12 analog, 16 ADAT, two AES and 64 MADI for 94 channels input with an additional 94 for outputs for a total of 188 total channels. Fully compatible with Thunderbolt technology, the system provides real PCI Express audio performance under Mac and Windows, with low latency, low system overheard and low CPU load.
The new interface incorporates AD/DA converters, optimized analog I/O circuits and improved SNR and THD values. A PAD-free mic circuit design with +18 dBu maximum input level and 75 dB gain, as well as phone outputs (2 Ohms) with +19 dBu maximum output level are also available.
Additional features include MADI connectivity and Direct USB Recording, which is available on the front of the unit.
RME and Synthax plan to release the Fireface UFX+ in August at a retail price of $2,999.
