LAS VEGAS — At every NAB Show, I walk in to the exhibit hall and immediately think “Where do I start?” This year, you might consider starting with one of the following exhibitors.
Sierra Automated Systems will honor NAB Hall of Fame inductee Elvis Duran at a special Press event on the NAB Show floor on Monday, April 9 at 12 p.m. During the event, SAS Owners Ed Fritz and Al Salci will present Duran with the first of its kind gold "Hall of Fame" edition iSL console prior to his induction into the NAB Hall of Fame that evening. Duran recently celebrated his 25th anniversary at HeartMedia's Z100 WHTZ New York. SAS is used extensively throughout iHeart's New York City facility that houses 6 broadcast stations along with Premiere Networks operations.
At the 2018 NAB Show, SAS will also debut a new line of tools for broadcasters focusing on Open Media Protocols and the next generation of AoIP technology. See them at booth N6816 in North Hall.
DaySequerra will be showing off its next-generation HD Radio Data Monitor at the show. Based on its third generation of HD Radio technology, the DaySequerra HD Radio Data Monitor provides a user-friendly method for monitoring and analyzing the entire data payload available in HD Radio broadcasts (more than 300 data fields). Monitoring all this data can be a challenging — the new HD Radio Data Monitor allows remote monitoring via IP and, using software from Xperi, enables verification of data such as Artist Experience along with the integrity of the HD Radio data stream.
The HD Radio Data Monitor also offers multicast scanning along with a suite of features including full RDS-RBDS data analysis, simultaneous HD Radio AAS and LOT reporting for all HD-1 and multicast broadcasts; full SMNP support, remote Artist Experience artwork and audio streaming capability. Email alerts and proprietary weather and traffic reporting are several of its other important features.
