NORTHHAMPTONSHIRE, EnglandSonifex is set to attend Broadcast Asia 2016 and will have a pair of products on display. The first is its DHY-04HD, an HD voice and GSM hybrid, and the second is its AVN-GMC PTPv2 Grandmaster Clock.
The DHY-04HD is designed to handle high-quality voice calls for studios in remote locations, OB vans and trucks, and when a telephone is not available. The product uses a 3G or GSM cellular network, can make or receive broadcast calls of 7kHz bandwidth, and convert 3G or GSM call to the four wire audio signal to and from a connected mixing console. The module used is quad-band GSM and five band UMTS/HSPA+, allowing it to take and make calls on a 2G GSM or 3G network.
The company will also show its AVN-GMC system, a product that works with the Ravenna networks. AVN-GMC distributes time packets to synchronize nodes by acting as a GPS receiver and enabling sub micro second synchronization. More information can be found here.
Sonifex will be located at stand 5M7-08 during Broadcast Asia 2016, which is set to take place in Singapore from May 31-June 3.
