BAYSIDE, Calif.�StreamGuys have announced new editing features and workflow enhancements to its SGrecast software that are expected to simplify podcast publishing. With the new features, previously distinct podcast publishing steps can now be unified in a single interface, while podcast distribution can also be integrated with StreamGuys� targeted advertising software, statistics and services.
Part of StreamGuys� SG suite of SaaS tools, the SGrecast makes content available for download, distribution or rebroadcast shortly after first airing and manage podcasts from various networked locations.
Among the software�s new features is the ability to track on-demand content through StreamGuys� advertising ecosystem. URL parameters can be attached to each podcast episode in the RSS feed, which allows the selection of insertion of content-appropriate ads from StreamGuys� third-party ad marketplace. Episode ID parameters help with audience measurement and usage tracking through the company�s analytics and statistical toolset. Custom parameters can be added for future ecosystem extensions and technologies. Parameters only need to be added once for each feed. Other updates to the SGrecast include integration of podcast file upload capabilities directly within the SGrecast interface.
