Wheatstone & DaySequerra Partner on HD Radio Diversity Delay

Company integrates ACI with DaySequerra’s M4.2 TimeLock HD Radio receiver

NEW BERN, N.C.� Audio equipment manufacturer Wheatstone is now working with DaySequerra to eliminate daily errors between digital and analog signals. To do this, Wheatstone is integrating its Automation Control Interface with Daysequerra�sM.42 TimeLockHD Radio receiver.

ACI is a network-centric control protocol built into Wheatstone audio processors. It enables processor parameters to be controlled by other, non-Wheatstone equipment through an Ethernet network. According to the company, by combining the ACI protocol with DaySequerra�s M4.2 TimeLock removes delay-related blend errors between HD and analog signals in HD Radio fringe areas. The M4.2 measures FM/HD time alignment errors and transmits any necessary diversity delay back to the Wheatstone on-air processor.

Wheatstone�s AirAura X3, FM-531HD, VP-8IP and FM-55 processors support HD Radio diversity delay control.

The company�previously partnered its audio processing technology with Belar�s FMHD-1 modulation monitor to help with HD Radio diversity delay.
