WASHINGTON XAPPmedia and SoCast have integrated XAPPmedia into SoCasts digital platform for radio, the companies announced.
Radio stations on the SoCast platform can utilize voice-activation functions from XAPPmedia, such as customized Alexa skills and listener promotions, which helps them to engage with their audiences on devices such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.
The rapid adoption of these devices further illustrates how listeners continue to demand more control over their audio. Being available on these [voice-activated] devices is table stakes today; audiences will be expecting to access their favorite radio stations, shows, personalities, and ads with the brand consistency theyve come to expect in other digital channels such as web, mobile and social, said SoCast CEO Elliott Hurst.
XAPPs software solutions are applied to voice experience development, distribution and management and to mobile content delivery and advertising, and the partnership provides SoCast users with another tool to connect with radio audiences; the platform already enabled radio stations to manage websites, mobile apps and social media.
