New Cost Effective and Compact Option for Broadcast Facility ManagementApril 8th, Miami, FL – Audemat, the monitoring specialists within the WorldCast Systems group, will launch a brand new addition to their cost effective Silver range of Broadcast Facility Management Solutions at the NAB 2010 show in Las Vegas. This compact and powerful tool offers the extensive functionality of its older brother, the Remote Control Silver, in a handy new size and at an extremely competitive price. This IP based unit offers 8 digital inputs, 8 analog inputs, 8 contact closures and critically, supports the Scripteasy software suite enabling broadcast engineers to benefit from the extensive scripting, telemetry and SNMP technology for which Audemat is renowned. Analog inputs can be used to monitor audio levels and the unit, as an option, can store audio files to serve as back-up. Supplied in the DIN format commonly used in PBX or IT rooms, the Mini Control Silver can be easily integrated into transmitter sites. Commenting on the launch, Christophe Poulain, President of WorldCast Systems Inc, stated, “Low cost Broadcast Facility Monitoring units available on the market are usually extremely limited in term of scripting and macro capabilities and rarely include advanced SNMP features. The Mini Control Silver can deployed in smaller sites with limited connections or as the perfect companion to our full facility management range of products including the Relio, IP2Choice and Remote Control Silver.?Integrating fully with all WorldCast units running Scripteasy V2, the Mini Control Silver enables a broadcaster to tailor their Broadcast facility management network to the needs of specific sites and their equipment budget. It can be configured to connect with any equipment at a remote site through serial ports, status or metering inputs, commands (relays) or IP.The data acquired from all sites can then be displayed on Scripteasy’s Masterview application for easy interpretation of the network’s performance and notifications sent to the user via Email, SNMP and optional Voice/DTMF Interface. The Mini Control Silver will be available for demonstration at the WorldCast Systems’ booth C.751 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 12th-15th.
