LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MAY 2010: TransAudio Group, the U.S. distributor for TRUE Systems is now shipping the PT2-500 mic pre and DI. TRUE Systems continues its contortionist legacy of packing immense-sounding microphone preamplification into tiny spaces. Descendant of the TRUE Systems Precision 8, which squeezes eight audiophile-grade preamps into a single rack space, the PT2-500 conforms to the modular 500 Series format. Like all the other preamps in the TRUE Systems family, the PT2-500 delivers stunning detail, rich analog depth, and a robust, reliable design. But the PT2-500 is 500 module sized, for audio professionals who want everything in a rack ready to use, over and over again, without buying additional power supplies and multiple racks. The PT2-500 features up to 70 dB of high-headroom, low-noise microphone gain. An exceptionally high-quality direct input (DI) calms edgy piezos and provides a THRU jack for amping or effects. Switchable phantom power, 80 Hz high pass filter, and polarity reverse give the unit appropriate flexibility, even in its tiny, 500 Series space. Like all TRUE Systems preamps, the PT2-500 boasts a frequency response that reads like a misprint, 1.5 Hz to 600 kHz (-3 dB), ensuring that the audible and usable ultrasonic ranges are well within its linear response. "More so perhaps than any other mic pre manufacturer, TRUE Systems is a natural fit for the 500 Series," said Brad Lunde, president at TransAudio Group, the U.S. distributor for TRUE Systems. "Engineers have been asking for the PT2-500 for years as the 500 Series format is quickly becoming the de facto protocol for modular gear." MSRP: $695.00 ABOUT TRANSAUDIO GROUP TransAudio Group, founded by industry veteran Brad Lunde, has quickly become the premier U.S. importer/distributor and/or U.S. sales and marketing representative for high-end audio. TransAudio Group Now Shipping the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter

Glorious Analog Signal Path with Variable ‘Color,’ Bettermaker Plug-in Recall & Automation, and World-Class Metering LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – JUNE 2017: TransAudio Group, U.S. distributor of high-end professional audio recording equipment, is pleased to announce the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter is now shipping. Like all Bettermaker products, the Mastering Limiter combines a pure analog signal path with a USB connection that allows it to be controlled, recalled, automated, and A/B’d from its associated plug-in. (The USB connection and plug-in only control the functionality of the hardware unit, no audio passes through the USB connection or plug-in.) This unit is comprised of two separate level control circuits, an infinity to 1 limiter followed by a clipper. Both are fixed threshold circuits, with the limiter threshold approximately 3dB lower than the clipper. A user adjustable ratio controls the amount of work done by the limiter versus clipper, achieved through adjustment of the limiter attack time. Additionally, this unit features variable odd- and even-harmonic coloration, locally stored user presets, and responsive, comprehensive metering that frees up your computer screen for other workflow tasks.
